Recent ActivityThe guidance staff at Central is here to serve you and your students in a number of ways. It is our goal to help your students be successful in school and in life. We offer a number of services to students throughout the school day. In order to avoid missed class times, we encourage students to visit us during their morning break after first block, during lunch, or before and after school. Of course there are times when missing some class time is a necessity, but we attempt to keep it at a minimum.
We are located next to the main office. Your student is assigned to a counselor based on the first letter of his/her last name. Please see our contact information to determine your student’s counselor.

Visit www.utk.edu/volvisit/ to register for the location most convenient for you FREE PRACTICE ACT/SATKaplan will offer a free ACT/SAT combo practice test at the University of Tennessee College of Law Building on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Students must arrive by 8:45am. Students must bring 2 sharpened #2 pencils and a calculator. Parents and students will be invited to return on Wednesday, November 18th from 7:00 - 8:15pm to pick up test results and to attend an ACT vs. SAT workshop. COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY!Students who are interested in accumulating community service hours should call Patricia Martin. She is the volunteer coordinator for the BUDDY'S BAR-B-Q RACE AGAINST CANCER 5K WALK 'N RUN. This family-friendly event raises funds for the Thompson Cancer Survival Center's Outreach Services program to provide cancer education and screenings to medically-underserved individuals throughout East Tennessee. They need volunteers to work the 5K course area to direct race participants and cheer them on as they make their way through Downtown Knoxville. The race will be held on November 15, 2009. Volunteers will work from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. and will receive a free post-race meal by Buddy's bar-b-q and a t-shirt.
